Dear Future Host Family, My name is Thembelihle Mbewana, I am 23 years old from Durban, South Africa. I am a warm, patient, and responsible young woman with a true passion for childcare. I am currently working as an Assistant Educator - Preschool in Durban (2026), where I care for children ages 2-5. In my role, I assist the lead teacher in creating a safe, clean, and happy environment, I plan and lead activities like storytelling, singing, arts and crafts, and outdoor play, and I help with feeding, toilet training, nap time, and emotional support. This experience has taught me patience, classroom management, and how to support early childhood development with love and structure. For me, being with kids is not just a job — it's truly my passion. I describe myself as caring, respectful, honest, organized, and very family-oriented. I would love to be a big sister to your children and a helping hand for you. I am happy to help with homework, morning and bedtime routines, cooking for children, and light housework. I am a non-smoker, I love learning about different cultures, and I would be honored to become part of your family and share my South African culture with you. I hope to hear from you soon! MY FREE TIME / HOBBIES: In my free time, I love spending time with children — reading stories, singing, dancing, and playing educational games outside. I enjoy being creative, doing arts and crafts, and making learning fun. I love cooking and trying new simple recipes, especially baking for my family. I also enjoy reading, listening to music, watching movies, and spending time outdoors — going for walks, playing sports, and exploring nature. I love learning about different cultures and meeting new people. On weekends, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to church, and helping in my community.
