Personal introduction

Dear Host Family, Hi, I'm Dan — a 20-year-old girl from a small village in Hubei, China, who loves cooking, guitar, swimming, and randomly breaking into Zumba when no one's watching. ? I currently work as a barista at Heytea, which means I'm pretty good at staying cheerful even when things get hectic — a skill that I imagine comes in handy with kids! Speaking of kids — I genuinely enjoy being around them. Growing up, I was always the "big sister" type among my cousins and village friends, the one who came up with games, sorted out arguments, and made sure everyone went home happy. It never felt like a responsibility, it just felt fun. I chose Germany because something about it just clicks with me — the idea of a place where life has structure but also real freedom, where kids are encouraged to be curious. I've already passed my Goethe-Zertifikat A1 and I'm working on A2 — talking with your kids in German is a goal I'm genuinely working towards!
