Personal introduction
Hello! I’m Isabella, a student from Devon, UK, looking forward to becoming an au pair in July/August 2026, and excited to meet a new family, and share my culture, language and skills.
I will bring a calm and caring presence to your family home, acting as a ‘big sister’ to your children for the summer. I’m responsible, kind, energetic, passionate about many things, and will create safe, warm, and happy spaces for your children. I am patient and confident, ready to help create fantasy worlds, play games in nature, do science experiments together and resolve problems!
I have a strong academic background, preparing for a top university in the UK or the EU, and have achieved grades at the top national percentiles in 2025. I would be happy to help your children with schoolwork as well as learning for fun, for example music or languages. English is my native language, and I speak French fluently as well as German at a B1/B2 level, and basic Spanish and Italian - I would love nothing more than to share my passion for languages with your children and help them discover or improve their English - through games, stories, songs, and activities, and teaching them about British culture (and history). I will also happily read stories and books to your children (which I can do in English or French) and I hope to encourage their love for learning and books, by taking them to the library.
I am also a musician and play piano, classical flute and jazz saxophone, and I sing, and therefore I would love to engage your children in musical activities - whether this is helping them with piano practice, singing together, or helping expand their musical knowledge if they play a different instrument.
I also appreciate the importance of the natural world, and for long summers to be spent at the beach, or in the woods, or at playgrounds. I am an outdoors-lover myself, and I will spend lots of time in nature with your children, taking them on adventures and walks, or day trips by train. I am a proficient cyclist and enjoy road cycling as well as mountain biking, and can accompany your children on bike rides around town or in a national park. If you live near the sea or a communal swimming pool, this would be another fun activity with your children as I am capable of looking after children in the swimming pool and am aware of water safety at the beach or lake. The same goes for water sports: I am a competent rower and can safely kayak, paddle board, and canoe with your children if they would like, and I have experience both on small sailing boats and larger boats, where I am working towards my competent crew license. Lastly, I am a passionate climber and I would love to support your children in climbing if they already do so regularly, or to introduce them to a new and exciting adventure sport - especially if there is an indoor climbing wall nearby I can accompany them too, or even a top-rope accrobranche centre.
If you live in a city, I will happily take your children to discover culture and the arts, through visits to museums, art galleries, music festivals and gardens, and to take them on public transport around the region or the city. But equally, if your children have pre-arranged activities like a summer camp or lessons, I can pick them up and drop them off, help them get ready and practice sports/music and coordinate play dates with their friends, preparing snacks for them, and breakfasts and lunches (which I can include them in the cooking/baking if they would like!). I also have basic first aid skills, and whilst I have a valid provisional driving license, I am working towards my full permit.
I look forward to hearing about your family and any proposals you may have, please do not hesitate to get in touch for a 2-3 week au pair stay in the summer of 2026!
Best wishes from Isabella. (:
