Personal introduction
I want to become an au pair because I love caring for children and want to experience everyday life in another culture, not just as a visitor but as part of a family. I’ve always enjoyed helping children learn, explore, and express themselves, and I think the au pair experience is a unique way to combine that with personal growth.
Living with a host family will allow me to improve my skills, gain more independence, and learn about American traditions and daily life in a genuine way. I’m especially excited to share parts of my own culture and create a meaningful exchange—whether through cooking, stories, or small traditions from home.
I also see the au pair program as a chance to become more confident and responsible. Caring for children in a new environment will help me develop patience, communication skills, and adaptability—qualities that will benefit me both personally and professionally in the future.
Overall, I want to be an au pair because it’s not only about travel or work; it’s about connection, learning, and growing while helping a family and their children thrive.
