Personal introduction

Hello, and welcome to my profile! My name is Lisna, I’m 25 years old, and I’m from Indonesia. I graduated in 2022 and currently work as a customer service agent, while also continuing my part-time work as a private English tutor for young children, something I’ve been doing since 2018. I’ve always been someone who enjoys being around children. My family and friends describe me as cheerful and optimistic, and I feel most at ease when I’m helping or playing with kids. Over the years, I’ve gained experience babysitting my relatives and neighbors' children, and I’ve also taught English and Bahasa to elementary school students. When I was 19, I even taught swimming to a small group of children in my neighborhood every Friday — one of my favorite memories. I’d describe myself as an ambivert, someone who enjoys connection but also values quiet time. I love reading, watching movies, and on my days off, I enjoy swimming with friends or spending time with my two adorable cats. I may not be the loudest person in the room, but I’m someone kids can feel safe and comfortable around. Becoming an au pair is a dream that combines two things I care about deeply: children and cultural exchange. I’ve always wanted to live abroad, learn new languages, and experience life from a different perspective. I believe the best kind of learning happens through everyday conversation and connection — and I see this journey as a meaningful step toward my future goal of becoming a professional teacher in the future.
