Personal introduction
Hello, my name is Shaqira, and I’m excited about the opportunity to become an au pair. I truly enjoy working with children and have professional experience as a student care teacher and K-Care assistant, where I worked with kids between 5–12 years old. This role has helped me develop strong skills in guiding, supporting, and engaging children in both educational and fun activities.
I chose to become an au pair because I love kids and enjoy being part of their growth and daily lives. At the same time, I want to experience new cultures, learn, and travel, making this a meaningful exchange for both sides.
I am caring, responsible, and adaptable, with experience planning activities, ensuring routines are followed, and creating a safe, positive environment for children. I also speak English, Malay, and a little Indonesian, which sometimes helps in communication with children from different backgrounds.
In terms of expectations, I am committed to working during the times stated by the host family. If extra hours are needed, I am happy to help as long as it is discussed in advance, with fair compensation for overtime.
I look forward to becoming not just a caregiver, but a supportive and positive role model for your children while also being part of your family.
