Personal introduction

My name is Averey, and I’m an 18-year-old from Kansas City, USA. As the oldest of four children, I have spent much of my life caring for my younger siblings and babysitting for families in my neighborhood. I have always enjoyed looking after children, ensuring they feel safe, engaged, and happy. I am excited about the opportunity to become an Au Pair and immerse myself in a new culture while doing something I love. I consider myself a responsible, caring, and creative person. I take pride in being organized and adaptable, whether it’s maintaining a daily routine, helping with schoolwork, or assisting with household tasks. I always strive to create a fun and nurturing environment for children, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported. Outside of childcare, I have many interests that I would love to share with your family. I enjoy creative activities such as drawing, singing, and dancing, and I love spending time outdoors, whether going for walks or exploring new places. I recently graduated from high school and am currently on a gap year to explore different opportunities before deciding on my long-term career path. Becoming an Au Pair feels like the perfect way to gain valuable life experience while doing something meaningful. My first language is English, but I have a strong interest in languages. My mother’s family is French, and although I wasn’t raised speaking French fluently, I studied it for four years in school and am eager to continue learning.
