Personal introduction

The idea of being an au-pair is incredibly exciting! I love travelling and experiencing different cultures and I think living with a family in a different country is the ultimate way to do that. I love languages and I'd really like to become much more familiar with French, for example. My best memories of my childhood are playing games with my siblings and my friends, for instance building huge lego towers or playing with my Barbies, and I'd love more than anything to be a part of that experience in someone else's childhood :) Overall, I think spending some time au-pairing would be an amazing life-experience and I'm so excited to do it! It seems like the ideal way to spend my gap year, which I decided to do in the hopes of being able to au-pair. Spending time with children is familiar to me and I find it fun and enjoyable - children are a breath of fresh air :)
