Personal introduction
Dear Host Family,
I hope this message finds you well. I'm writing to express my interest in joining to your family as an au pair.
My name is Ayu, and I am 23 years old from Indonesia. I am deeply interested in learning new languages and cultures. I am an open-minded, easy-going, and adaptable person with strong problem-solving skills. I thrive in new environments, and I can’t wait to start this exciting journey with your family!
I love traveling and outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and mountain climbing. I don’t smoke, and I’m not a party person; I prefer spending my free time with reading, writing novels, painting, enjoying quality time with family and friends, or exploring new places.
???? Experience in Child Care:
• I have over 8 years of experience as a host child in my country, so I understand the responsibilities of being a good au pair for your family.
• I have been caring for my two host siblings (aged 4 and 13) since they were babies, as my host parents worked full-time. I am experienced in preparing breakfast, helping the kids get ready for school, picking them up from school, and assisting with other daily needs.
• I also have 4 step-siblings, two of whom are 7-year-old twins, so I am very familiar with caring for twin children.
• I have also cared for my younger cousins (aged 1 and 6) while my aunt worked as a kindergarten teacher in a new school in our village.
• I have volunteered at a kindergarten, so I am comfortable being around children of all ages and enjoy building strong bonds with them.
• Over the past 4 years, I was entrusted by my host parents to manage their clothing store branch, which reflects my responsibility and trustworthy nature.
What I Offer:
•???? Providing attentive and nurturing care for your children.
•???? Cooking basic meals.
•???? Helping kids get ready for school/daycare.
•???? Bringing/picking them up from school/daycare.
•???? Assisting with homework.
•???????? Engaging in indoor activities that promote creativity and focus, such as drawing, coloring, building puzzles, reading, and brain-stimulating quizzes, all tailored to their age.
•???????? Organizing outdoor activities that encourage physical fitness and exploration, such as playing ball, cycling, park visits, picnics, and learning about nature.
•????Assisting with bedtime routines, such as showering, brushing teeth, and reading bedtime stories.
•???? I can confidently ride a bicycle.
• ????I am also experienced with household tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, washing dishes, doing laundry, and ironing.
• Helping children learn and develop according to their age—such as improving motor skills for babies ????, sharpening focus for children aged 2-4 years ????, and building self-confidence for children aged 5-7 years ????.
I am looking for a family that fully supports my journey as an au pair. I am independent, but I would greatly appreciate guidance as I navigate my new role in a different culture. I hope to find a family that values open communication and mutual respect, and one that will consider me as part of their family????.
I am ready to bring my energy and experience to your family and create a positive, enriching environment for your children! I’m also excited about the opportunity to immerse myself in your culture, improve my English, and share aspects of my own culture with your family.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to learn from and contribute to your family.????
Warm regards,
Ayu????
