Personal introduction

I hope to become an au pair because I want to experience life in a new country and learn about new cultures. It is a long-term goal of mine to live outside of the United States (especially in Europe), and becoming an au pair would give me the opportunity to put my roots down in another country, where I could consider working in or attending university in the future. Career wise, living and working with children will be a very valuable experience to me because I am interested in working in education in the future. Becoming an au pair, of course, does not only serve my interests. I hope to share my stories and skills with your children and family. I believe that living inter-culturally is very important, and that we have lots to learn from each other.
