Personal introduction
Note: I am an EU citizen and therefore will not require a visa :)
I have just completed a master's program in Epidemiology and the wanderlust is calling! I absolutely adore children and I would love nothing more than to contribute to your family and help care for those you care about the most. Becoming an Au Pair is something I have wanted to do for years, and my chance has finally come.
I am very experienced in childcare, I babysat at a very young age and became a nanny as a teen. I am the first person family and friends look to if childcare is needed, although my time has been a little more limited during the school year. I have worked independently as a tutor for ten years, and I have instructed children as young as 5 and as old as 18. I love being a tutor; getting to be a part of a child's experience in learning something new is simply incredible, and I hope it is something that will always be a part of my life in some capacity. I have just returned from working as an au pair in the UK for over 6 months and it was such a good experience that I'd like to do it once more.
For those who may have a child with special needs, during my time in secondary school I became a peer tutor for other students who had different abilities, including those with Autism, learning delays, and physical impairments. I have volunteered my time at my local community living centre, working with an adult with special needs, and grew to form a relationship with her.
To conclude, if you are looking for a happy, confident, easygoing, and optimistic big sister, I might just be the au pair for your family!
