Personal introduction
Dear Host Family,
My name is Natalia, I’m 28 years old, and I come from beautiful Colombia! I graduated in Film and Television Production, and for nearly seven years, I’ve poured my heart into my work as a producer, photographer, and film critic writer. One of the most meaningful parts of my career has been working on documentary projects focused on children’s well-being. Through this, I’ve connected deeply with kids, and each experience has reminded me of the importance of nurturing creativity, joy, and a sense of belonging.
Children have always held a special place in my heart. I hope to have a family of my own one day, and this love for children has inspired me to seek opportunities to care for and learn from them now. When I visited London this year, I fell in love with the city and felt a strong desire to explore English culture more deeply. Becoming an au pair feels like the perfect way to do that while also sharing my passion and experience with children.
I would describe myself as a highly creative, positive, and responsible person. I believe in creating a warm, fun, and safe environment, and I’m eager to bring that energy into your home. My hope is to build a relationship with your family that feels like a true exchange, full of shared laughter, learning, and support.
In my free time, I love immersing myself in books, films, series, and documentaries that broaden my perspective and allow me to experience life through different lenses. I often visit bookstores and museums, and I especially enjoy live music, singing, and dancing. I also enjoy taking courses and engaging in various artistic experiences. Recently, I’ve begun exploring cooking, with a focus on healthy eating, and I make time for exercise and fitness as well.

My experience with kids
I’ve had the meaningful opportunity to work on several social projects focused on children, particularly with indigenous communities and children from low-income areas in Bogotá, Colombia. Through filmmaking and photography, I’ve been able to share their stories, bringing visibility to their experiences and giving a voice to their unique challenges and dreams.
In these projects, I collaborated on the production of films and documentaries that highlight both the cultural richness and the resilience of these communities. Working directly with children, I’ve witnessed how art can become a powerful tool for self-expression and transformation. I strive to create a safe, collaborative environment where children feel comfortable sharing their ideas, emotions, and creativity.
Each project has been deeply enriching, both for the children and for me. I’ve learned invaluable lessons about resilience, creativity, and the importance of community, which have strengthened my commitment to social work. These experiences have also deepened my desire to continue using art to empower children and make a positive impact in their lives.
Through this work, I’ve gained a great deal of experience in supporting and caring for children, and I would love the chance to bring this understanding into a warm, family setting. The opportunity to contribute to your family’s life, while exploring this work in a homely, nurturing environment, is truly exciting for me.
Thank you very much for considering me to be a part of your family. I’m truly excited about the possibility of meeting you and creating wonderful memories together.
Warmest regards,
Natalia
