Personal introduction

If you are looking for someone with extensive childcare experience, an excellent level of English, and a willingness to spend plenty of time with the children—whether it's tutoring, playing outside, or doing crafts—then you’ve found your candidate! As a future teacher, I am always looking to expand my horizons, work with children, and learn as much as I can about the world. Whenever university is not in session, I try to work with children. Being an Au Pair combines my desire to explore new places while working in a meaningful way. I also want to gain more experience working with different families and understanding how they operate—skills I believe will be invaluable in my future career as a teacher. I am the big sister to three siblings and a university student on my way to becoming a middle school science teacher. I am passionate about learning languages, reading, discovering more about the world, and improving myself.. I have always been a very active person, always wanting to do something worthwhile. I’m never bored because I can always find a project to work on. I value order highly and strive to do my best, whether at school or while doing laundry. I have extensive experience working with children, having raised my brothers, who are now 7 and 5 years old, as well as my cousins, who are 14, 7, and 3. In addition, I am studying to become a middle school science teacher and have worked as a teacher in both middle and high schools, so I am confident in my ability to work with children. I’ve also worked with a local NGO, where I organized activities for children aged 5-12 to introduce them to the Viking age and spark their interest in history. While living in the Czech Republic as an exchange student in 2021/2022 during high school, I stayed with families who had young children, and I thoroughly enjoyed helping take care of them. My first language is Estonian, a small language related to Finnish. I speak near-native level English and hold a C2 certificate from the Cambridge Advanced English Exam. After spending a year studying in the Czech Republic, I speak decent Czech and estimate my level to be around B1, although I haven’t taken any language tests to certify it. In school, I studied Russian, Latin, and Ancient Greek, though I’m not very advanced in any of them. I can speak basic Russian at about an A1 or A2 level.
