Personal introduction

Dear Host Family, Thank you for taking time to read my letter. My name is Teresiah Wanjiru,29 years old from Kenya.I live with my parents and my 2 younger siblings.I am respectful, obedient and reliable Being like a big sister to your children comes along with responsibilities and it won't just be play and fun.My patient and calm personality helps me master more difficult situations like when the children are tired or don't want to listen to me.I am a patient, efficient, discreet, respectful, committed, well organized, straight forward and hardworking employee with over 15 years of experience in childcare and household tasks. In my previous roles, I have been responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children as well as helping them with school work and other activities. I am also experienced in driving children to and from school and to other extracurricular activities. In addition, I have experience planning and organizing outdoor and recreational activities such as arts and crafts, badminton, colouring -ins,hide and seek, skipping with ropes, roll-ons, reading books, telling stories, singing, dancing etc . I carried out basic life support protocol with an epileptic child and rushed her timely to the hospital thus saving her life. I also successfully resolved bed wetting issues of a 6-year-old child by determining and addressing the psychological causes underlying the behavior. I have strong communication and organizing skills and I am able to create a positive environment for children in my care. I am also very familiar with basic childcare like feeding, bathing, diaper change, potty training, dressing children etc. When it comes to domestic tasks, I have experience.My daily routine include; *Perform cleaning tasks like sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing, dusting, mopping the floor, washing windows etc *Changing sheets *Assist kids with homework *Drop children to and from school, appointments, playdates *Setting shoe stand *Assist with other home -based tasks as needed In the last summer holiday, I was assigned to teach the young group of children the basics of tennis. In the place where I live, I used to take care of children between ages 0-13 years as parents would bring them to my house while going to work and collect them in the evening.
