Personal introduction

I want to become an au pair to grow knowledge, experience and meet new people. I’ve always wanted to travel and try new experiences and really experience the world we live. I enjoy being around children and learning from them as they are learning from me. I have two nephews who are three and five. If I have learned anything being an Auntie is is patience. I don’t believe I knew what the word truly meant until they came into the world. Patience is important in looking after any child, you need to come down to their level and see things from their point of view and understand them. It’s important to support them, show them right from wrong and the main thing is them being the centre of care. My oldest nephew Oakley, has autism and caring for him has taught me many things such as; how to understand what he wants and how he’s feeling, how to not over stimulate him, how to give him the care he needs.
