Personal introduction

Hello, My name is Rosie, I'm 24 from the United Kingdom. I am a current Bournemouth University student studying History with hopes of being a history teacher. PLEASE NOTE: I would like to inform you that I won't be available for work until April 2024 because of my university commitments. I can ensure you are safe and secure about leaving your child/children with me. I can cook healthy meals and do some housework. If you have a furry friend that’s a massive bonus for me- cats or dogs. I cannot drive but if I have access to a bike I am very competent. I can be a painter extraordinaire, a pirate captain, a cook and many more. I aim to explore children’s imagination and allow them to express it. I love puzzles, arts and crafts and every Disney film! I can help with homework and school work. And I can guarantee a story before bedtime. I would love to be welcomed into your home to help you and your children. I am tidy and have been brought up in a house which prides itself on politeness and manners. I can ensure that your children will pick these up. I am excited to integrate into another culture and travel somewhere I haven't before. I have a great love of history and love to inspire this in young minds. I have over 3 years of childcare experience. I have worked in several nurseries with babies up to children aged 3-4 years old. I am a holiday camp leader in summer holidays in the early years of 4-5 and children as old as 11. I have also worked as a babysitter for hotels and several families have welcomed me into their homes. I have experience with babies such as nappy changing, bottle making, feeding and putting a baby to bed. I also have learnt about enrichment in babies and what activities will help them to progress and help them. This is achieving milestones such as walking and crawling. When I worked in a nursery, I was in the baby room but also with toddlers and older children. My main job was to play with the children in different areas such as make-believe play, building and playing with toys. I loved to make lego towers and with blocks. I am a very bubbly and positive person always with a smile on my face :) I am a child at heart. My interests are cooking, baking so I can make sure cookies and brownies on tap and some english baking delights. I also love to pick up other recipes and cooking techniques. I also love swimming and am very confident in the water. I am an animal lover so if you have a furry friend we will get along well. I wish to au pair in the summer holidays in my break from university and may end up being a au pair in my gap year or decide to do a year abroad. I am excited to live in another country and environment. I would also like to learn another language. I am intermediate in French, know a little Spanish and Portuguese.
