My name is Lea, I’m 18 years old, and I’m from Germany. I’m a friendly, caring, and open-minded person who loves meeting new people, discovering new places, and learning about different cultures. I would describe myself as thoughtful, reliable, patient, and always willing to learn something new. I enjoy spending time with people I feel comfortable around, sharing everyday moments, and creating lasting memories. Children have always been an important part of my life. I grew up helping care for my younger siblings and children in my extended family, which gave me experience with children from an early age. I’ve also completed several internships at kindergartens and gained plenty of babysitting experience. I’m currently living with a host family and working as an au pair in Mexico. Although I’m grateful for the experience I’m gaining here, I’m looking for a new host family because I would like to find a family that truly suits me—where I feel comfortable, welcomed, respected, and appreciated. My experiences have helped me learn how to interact with children of different ages, understand their individual personalities, support them in their daily routines, and find fun ways to keep them entertained. I enjoy doing creative activities, playing games, going outside, baking together, reading stories, and helping children learn new things. For me, childcare is not just about keeping children busy, but also about making them feel safe, understood, and loved. One of the main reasons I want to continue my au pair journey is that I would love to become a genuine part of a family in a different country. I don’t want to feel like just an employee who comes to work and leaves again. I hope to build a real connection with my host family, share everyday life, learn from each other, and feel comfortable enough to be myself. I believe that trust, respect, honest communication, kindness, and appreciation are the most important parts of a successful host family relationship. I’ve always dreamed of exploring the world, improving my English, and experiencing life in another country. Living in Mexico has already taught me a lot about independence, adapting to a new environment, and stepping outside my comfort zone. I’m excited to continue growing, discover new opportunities, and find a host family where I feel happy, valued, and truly at home. In my free time, I enjoy music, baking, creative activities, exploring new places, and spending time with people who are important to me. I’m not someone who needs to go out partying all the time. I also enjoy quiet days, cozy evenings, good conversations, and doing simple things that make everyday life special. I’m hoping to find a host family where we genuinely get along, support each other, and create a positive experience together. I’m happy to learn about your family’s routines, traditions, and expectations, and I value a home where everyone feels respected and appreciated.
