Persönliche Einführung

Dear Host Families, my name is Jana, I’m 24 years old, and I’m from southern Germany. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in education. During my semester break, I’d love to have a special experience abroad and become part of your family. I’d like to get to know your daily family life, learn more about your country and culture, and, of course, help you with your children’s daily routines. I’m looking forward to experiencing daily family life with you and helping out wherever I can. Whether it’s with homework, tidying up together, or helping with small household chores, I’d love to lighten your load a little. At the same time, I’m excited to continue improving my English and to spend a wonderful time with you and your children. I’ve been working with children for many years, and I truly enjoy it. Through babysitting, my several years of work at a school, and my long-standing experience in church youth ministry, I’ve already gained a lot of experience with children and teenagers. Through these experiences, I’ve realized how much I enjoy spending time with children, engaging with them, and embracing their diverse interests. I love laughing together, trying new things, and supporting the children in their daily lives. The joy I find in working with children has also strengthened my desire to become a teacher. In my free time, I also enjoy being active and creative. I like to do crafts, spend time outdoors, and ride my bike. With your children, I’d love to join in on whatever brings them joy. Whether we’re playing together, spending time outdoors, doing activities, getting creative, or simply enjoying a cozy afternoon, what matters most to me is that we have a wonderful time together and that the children feel comfortable with me. During my studies, I had the opportunity to spend a semester abroad in the US. I found the cultural exchange and living alongside people from other countries to be particularly enriching. This experience sparked a desire in me to go abroad again and, this time, to experience life with a host family.
