Persönliche Einführung

Hi, my name is Lydia. I am 20 years old and I live near Milan, in a small town called Monza. I am originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, but I was adopted when I was five years old, so I have been living in Italy for the past 15 years. I am an only child. My family is not very big, but I have a strong and loving relationship with the people around me. I am a happy and energetic girl who enjoys learning new things and discovering new activities. One of my biggest passions is reading, especially romance novels and thrillers, because they help me relax and imagine new worlds. I also enjoy painting and spending time outdoors, going for walks, and doing sports. Another passion of mine is cooking. I like preparing simple but tasty meals such as pasta, pizza, and fish, which my family and friends always enjoy. I love spending time with children and I believe working with them is a beautiful and meaningful experience. Last year, I completed a one-month internship in a kindergarten, where I stayed with the children for eight hours a day. In the morning, I played with them, and in the afternoon we did small learning activities, especially to help them develop their language skills. It was a busy but very rewarding experience, and it helped me improve my communication skills. I have also worked as a babysitter for a child who is the son of my parents’ friends. I used to pick him up from school, prepare lunch, play with him, and help him with his homework. This experience helped me become more patient, responsible, and caring. All these experiences have helped me grow and better understand what I like and what I want to do in the future. I believe that working with children is perfect for me because it allows me to combine my love for education, play, and creativity. I would like to be an au pair because I truly enjoy spending time with children and I would love to learn about a new culture while becoming part of a family.
