Persönliche Einführung
Dear Host Family,
My name is Rachel Kalinga, I am 21 years old, and I come from Tanzania, a beautiful country in East Africa. I have recently finished my high school diploma and I have always been passionate about learning, personal growth, and exploring new environments.
I would describe myself as a responsible, creative, warmhearted, patient, and fun loving young woman. I enjoy spending time with children, creating art, cooking simple meals, reading, learning new skills, and exploring different cultures. In my free time, I love listening to music and improving my language skills.
I come from a loving and supportive family that has taught me the values of kindness, respect, hard work, and taking care of one another. Growing up, I took part in several family responsibilities, especially helping with my younger siblings and relatives. These experiences helped me become mature, understanding, and confident when handling household tasks or supporting children.
My desire to become an Au Pair comes from my interest in experiencing a new culture, learning a new language, and sharing my own culture with others. I truly enjoy being around children because they bring joy, creativity, and new perspectives to life. I believe the Au Pair program will help me grow both personally and culturally while giving me the chance to contribute positively to your family.
I have strong experience taking care of children. I raised my younger brother from when he was 1 to 4 years old, and I also took care of my elder sister’s daughter from birth until she was 2 years old. Through these experiences, I learned how to feed, bath, dress, play with children, and support their early learning. I have also helped with light household tasks, which has taught me to stay organized, flexible, and dependable. And enjoy sitting with pets.
In the future, I aim to complete my undergraduate degree and build a strong career as a young woman in STEM. Becoming an Au Pair will help me gain international exposure, improve my communication skills, and develop greater cultural understanding skills that will be very important in my professional life.
Thank you very much for considering my application. I hope to become a helpful, loving, and supportive member of your family.
Warm regards,
Rachel
