Dear Host Family, My name is Samira, I’m 18 years old, and I come from Ghana, currently living in Accra. I am very excited to introduce myself and tell you why I would love to become your au pair. I come from a small and loving family that includes my parents and younger sister. We enjoy spending time together, especially going to the park, cooking, dancing, and visiting relatives during holidays. Growing up in such a caring family has taught me the importance of love, patience, and respect — values that I believe are essential when caring for children. I have always enjoyed being around kids. I spend a lot of time with my niece and nephew, helping them with schoolwork, playing games, telling stories, and teaching them small chores. These experiences have made me more responsible, creative, and patient. I truly enjoy seeing children smile and learn new things every day. As an au pair, my goal is to be more than just a helper — I want to become part of your family. I hope to create a warm and trusting relationship with your children, to support them in their daily routines, and to learn from your family’s culture while also sharing mine. I am excited to experience life in another country, improve my language skills, and grow as a person. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, dancing, listening to music, and exploring new places. I am also an open-minded, honest, and caring person who loves to help others. You can always count on me to be responsible and positive, even when things get challenging.
