Persönliche Einführung

Dear Host Family, My name is Finja, I‘m 18 years old and live in Hamburg, a beautiful city in Germany. I am an active person who loves to travel and wants to earn as many unforgettable memories as possible. A few months ago, I graduated from high school and received my driver’s license, therefore, I now have some time before I study and want to work as an au-pair, connecting my passions for travelling and children. I’m a big sister of my lovely 4-years-younger sister, whom I took care of since we were young. Moreover, I have worked with children at different ages on both short- and long-term occasions that made me reaIise that I enjoy working with kids and taught me how much responsibility it takes. I’m trustworthy and reliable and would love to connect with a friendly, warm and fair family who is searching for a loving temporary sister to help with the daily childcare. Overall I would describe myself as an open-minded, active person who always wants to discover new things and activities. I love to spend my free time with my friends, take care of my animals or play some volleyball at the beach. I am reliable, trustworthy, patient and alway able to listen well when my friends are not feeling well. This year, I graduated from high school and received my driver’s license. Since then, I have earned driving experience nearly daily. I also worked as a teacher and a verterinary assistent in internship contexts. In my future I want to study, maybe abroad. I have a small sister, whom I have taken care of since she was a Baby. We have a really strong bond . When I was younger, I always tried to entertain her and her friends, cooked some food for her, and now, I play taxi driver for her since I have my license ;). For about 2 years, I worked at my barn and took care of groups of children at the ages of 4-13 years. Sometimes, it was kind of challenging because of the many kids and the cheeky ponies, but those experiences taught me pretty well to work safely and be really responsible. Additionally, I have done an internship, where I worked as a teacher in Barcelona; those kids were usually 9 to 14 years old. I also took care of the two Babies from our neighbors a few times and gave tutoring lessons. My first language is German. Additionally, I can speak English and learned Spanish for a few years in school, but my Spanisch kind of needs to be refreshed. I want to develop my personality, get to know new people and see stunning places. I would enjoy building a bond with my au pair kids like a big sister. I am searching for a warm and active family and a respectful and fair interaction. I am looking forward to initiating mutual cultural exchange and developing my knowledge. In my free time, I would love to learn how to surf, and I am thinking about visiting a language course to improve my English skills in case I want to study abroad. As a reliable person, I want to have a good work-life balance with an everyday life where I can fully be there for your kids but also have regulated free time to see stunning places :) .
