Persönliche Einführung
Dear future host families,
My name is Ella, and I’m a 21-year-old from Perth, Western Australia. In November 2025, I’ll be graduating as a qualified Occupational Therapist, specialising in paediatrics. Before I begin full-time work back home, I’m planning to take a gap year in 2026 to live and work as an AuPair — something I’ve always dreamed of doing.
For the past five years, I’ve been nannying part-time for a family in Perth, caring for three young children and helping with household tasks I’ve always been around kids, I’m the eldest of four myself, so supporting and spending time with children has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I love watching children grow and thrive, and I find a real joy in being part of their everyday routines, celebrations, and challenges. Through my occupational therapy studies, I’ve learned so much about child development, and I naturally bring this into my care in creative, age-appropriate ways.
Alongside nannying, I’ve worked as a support worker with people of different ages and backgrounds. That experience taught me how to support individuals in developing independence and confidence in their daily lives, while also finding ways to make life fun and meaningful. I hold a current Working with Children Check, First Aid Certificate, and Police Clearance. Due to my mother being from the United Kingdom, I hold dual citizenship, meaning I am all set to work and live in the UK.
Growing up, my family welcomed many AuPairs into our home, so I have a really good understanding of what this role involves. I know how important it is to feel like part of the family, to bring energy and support to the kids, and to create a sense of trust and calm in any household.
If I had to describe myself in a few words, I’d say I’m warm, adaptable, and easy to be around. I build strong relationships with both children and adults, and I feel comfortable stepping into new routines with confidence and care. In my spare time, I love spending time with friends, going for walks, exploring new places, and meeting new people, I’m definitely a people person!
I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to join a family, support your children, and make the most of my gap year. Thank you so much for considering me.
Warmly,
Ella
