Persönliche Einführung

Dear Family, My name is Evelyn, I am 27 years old, and I am from Brazil. Since I was a child, watching the Madeleine cartoon, I always dreamed of traveling the world and learning new things. During high school, I had the opportunity to learn English and take an introductory German course, which excited me a lot. After finishing my university studies, I decided to take a gap year in Germany and chose Leipzig as my temporary residence to focus on the language and local culture. Currently, I am taking an intensive German course, in which I am at the beginner level, and I will finish it in February. After that, I will take a holiday trip to Brazil, and upon my return in April, I would love to start a new journey as an Au Pair. One of my main goals is to improve my language skills and exchange experiences. I strongly believe that the Au Pair program is one of the best ways to improve a language in a practical way while experiencing a new local culture in a unique and immersive way. I am the oldest of four siblings and have always been very involved in taking care of them. My youngest brother is 3 years old, and I have been with him since he was born. This process taught me many valuable lessons about patience, dedication, and, above all, love. I consider myself a natural caregiver, with experience with all ages, which makes me a reliable person who is very attentive to the needs of children. I love proposing creative and playful activities, such as art and crafts games, that not only enrich children's learning but also bring me a lot of joy. I have a degree in Fashion. Although my degree is not directly related to Au Pair work, I can guarantee that my creativity will be a valuable asset for educational and recreational activities with children. And, if necessary, I can help the family with small clothing repairs, such as adjustments and customizations. I have a great passion for cooking. I love trying new dishes and would be happy to help in the kitchen or with household tasks. Additionally, I am very active and enjoy practicing sports, dancing, walking, cycling, and keeping myself moving. I have been living alone since I was 19, lived in a boarding school during college, and currently live in a shared apartment here in Germany. This has helped me become a calm and harmonious person who knows how to live well with others and share spaces. Regarding my future, my long-term goal after the program is to pursue a master's degree in Textile Technology, an area in which Germany is one of the leading countries, especially regarding innovation and sustainability. I am confident that the experience as an Au Pair will be fundamental not only for improving my language skills but also for providing me with a deeper understanding of everyday life, which will be an important step in my professional development. I am very excited about the possibility of becoming part of a loving family and contributing with my knowledge and creativity while learning and immersing myself in the culture in a deeper way.
