Persönliche Einführung

Dear host family, My name is Giulia and I am 22 years old. You surely get a lot of these letters from prospective Au Pairs, but rest assured, you will not regret to read about my reasons why I want to become your Au Pair. I am currently living with my parents, my twin sister near Venice, in Italy. At the moment, I am attending university and studying Foreign Languages and Literatures, but i will graduate in November. I can speak Italian (my mothertongue), pretty good English and French, but also a little bit of German, Russian and Romanian. As you may understand, I really love to travel and discover new cultures. I can’t wait to explore more from the world and other countries afterwards! In my free time I usually read a lot, especially russian or english literature, but I also enjoy playing many sports, above all volleyball. I have a lot of experience with children because I have already been an Aupair in Berlin for two months. I used to live in a german family and spoke only German to the kids, that were 7 and 9 years old. I love children and enjoy spending time with them, but I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like a big sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just play and fun. My calm and patient personality will help me to master more difficult situations for instance when the kids are tired or don’t want to listen to me. I am sure that I will adapt to the new tasks and daily routine quickly and become a big help for you. Living with me is really easy as I am not a demanding person. I do respect that the house is your house and that I have to follow your house rules. If something works not quite as it should, I prefer to talk instead of ignoring things.
