Persönliche Einführung
My name is Kelsey, and I am excited about the opportunity to introduce myself as a potential au pair for your family. I am 24 years old, from Canada, and I have a genuine passion for working with children, learning about new cultures, and supporting families in their daily lives. Becoming an au pair feels like the perfect way to combine these interests, allowing me to immerse myself in a meaningful cross-cultural experience while contributing to your family’s well-being.
From a young age, I found great joy in caring for children, ranging from 4 months to 13 years old. Working with children has always brought me a deep sense of fulfillment, as it allows me to make a positive impact on their lives while supporting their growth and development. This passion led me to spend two years as a Lead Teacher for a mobile playground program, where I worked with children ages 5 to 13, particularly those who lack access to sports, cultural, and recreational opportunities. In this role, I provided them with a safe and engaging space to participate in physical activities, creative games, and arts and crafts.
I was responsible for planning and leading a variety of activities that encouraged teamwork, creativity, and healthy play. Additionally, I organized the program’s schedule, ensuring we reached communities that would benefit the most from these resources. I also maintained regular communication with parents, providing updates on their child’s behavior, participation, and accomplishments. This experience helped me refine my leadership, organizational, and communication skills, while deepening my commitment to making a lasting, positive impact on children’s lives—especially those who might otherwise miss out on these enriching experiences.
I am deeply passionate about creativity, which I have nurtured through earning my Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Production and Design from the University of British Columbia. In my free time, I enjoy painting, drawing, and staying active through Pilates and yoga. Having lived in Vancouver for the past seven years, I have developed a strong love for the outdoors—whether it’s hiking through forests, relaxing at the beach, or spending time near the ocean.
As an au pair, I am eager to bring my creativity, energy, and enthusiasm into your home. Whether it’s planning fun activities, helping with homework, or joining in on family outings, I am committed to supporting your family in a responsible, caring, and thoughtful way.
After my au pair experience, I hope to continue working with children in more artistic capacities. I am passionate about helping children tap into their creative potential while supporting them along their individual growth journeys. I believe this experience will help me grow both personally and professionally, giving me the skills and insights I need to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children I work with.
Thank you so much for considering me as part of your family. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have, and I look forward to the possibility of sharing wonderful moments with you.
