Dear Future Host Family, Hello! My name is Sifra, and I am 25 years old from Indonesia. I come from a supportive family that encourages my decision to become an Au Pair. I hold a degree in elementary school teacher education and am a licensed professional teacher with three years of experience working with children aged 3 to 11. I am currently working as a makeup artist and enjoy spending my free time with kids, exploring new hobbies, and learning about different cultures. I have a passion for nurturing creativity and personal growth in children. I have significant childcare experience, having cared for my niece, Eleanora, from the age of two until she turned seven. I looked after her on weekdays, making her lunch, playing, helping with bath time, and picking her up from school. I also helped my nephew, Philip, starting when he was two, supporting his mom while she worked remotely. I spent time playing with him, feeding him, and giving him baths. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and creativity when caring for children how to engage with children at different developmental stages while ensuring their well-being and comfort. I cherish the moments when we would read stories together and play outside, creating lasting memories filled with laughter. I have swimming skills and can ride a bicycle, motorbike, and car. I believe these abilities will allow me to participate in outdoor activities with your children and explore the beautiful surroundings. One of my personal goals is to share the rich culture and uniqueness of Tana Toraja, an iconic region in Indonesia, known for its stunning landscapes, traditional houses, and vibrant ceremonies. I would love to share stories about the unique customs and traditions of my home, and if you ever decide to visit Indonesia, I would be excited to accompany you to enjoy the beauty of Toraja together. My personal and career goals include enhancing my skills in childcare while embracing new cultures and improving my English. Being an Au Pair is a dream for me, as it offers the perfect opportunity to achieve these goals while also becoming part of a family in another country.
