Persönliche Einführung

Dear host families, My name is Verena and I come from Austria, from a small town near Linz. I turned 18 years in April and graduated from high school this year. I would like to use the year after graduation to work as an au pair, as I think that this experience can be very enriching, both for me and for my host family. I have been learning English for 12 years, Spanish for 4 years now and French for six years and I really enjoy it. Therefore, I would like to get to know the English, Spanish or French culture first hand in a host family. I also enjoy spending time with children. I am generally a very open and extroverted person. I like to have contact with people and especially with children. I am also very active, I do sports several times a week and also take part in a triathlon. I have also been playing the piano for 10 years. I have already completed a 16-hour first aid course and in 2023 I completed a holiday job in the pediatric outpatient clinic of the Kepleruniklinikum in Linz. I have already gained experience in dealing with children. This summer I will be training to become a paramedic and will therefore also gain experience in the healthcare sector. I am part of the Austrian Water Rescue Service and held swimming courses for children in the summer. I have also completed the ECDL Advanced and am therefore competent with computers. I speak fluent German and have been learning English for 10 years. This year I passed the Cambridge Certificate and reached a C2 level. I have also been learning French for 6 school years and have a B2 level in this language. I have been learning Spanish for 4 years, have completed the DELE B1 certificate and have already taken part in several language competitions. I came 2nd once and this year I came 3rd. All in all, I think that I would be very well suited for a stay abroad as an au pair and I would be very happy to have the opportunity to do so.
