Persönliche Einführung

I am Laura from Colombia, and I am a girl passionate about children, which leads me to start this Au Pair experience with a family that gives me the opportunity to be a support in the daily activities of their children. I live in a city located on the Caribbean Coast of Colombia called Valledupar, which is considered the world capital of vallenato, a musical genre originating from my country. I am a responsible, creative, fun, and hard-working woman. I like challenges and I am very determined when it comes to starting new things in my life that contribute to my personal and integral growth. I am organized, practical and proactive. In my daily environment I usually take the initiative in the things that need to be done; I like to organize my times and plan activities so that I can totally fulfill my responsibilities. And these are the reasons why I love working with children, because I can do various activities where they can have fun and learn new things, discovering their way of seeing the world and appreciating it through their eyes. My motivation to assume this experience as an Au Pair is to have the opportunity to be the support for a family in caring for their children, considering that it is a different culture, but I know that the experience will be worth it and there will be a before and after in my life after I live it. I want to expand my knowledge to new people, improving my communication in a second language, establishing closer contact with children and of course with the full assurance that there will be many teachings in all aspects on this path that I am willing to face.
