We are a loving family of 3. Mum - thats me... Amanda, is 39 years old, Dad - that's Richard is 44 and Connie is 3.5 ! Baby girl Bennington is due end of February 2017. We also have a very beautiful natured dog, Bailey. He is a big softy. We live in a village called Carlton Miniott, just 1 mile from the market town of Thirsk. Thirsk offers a variety of facilities, a sports center, a cinema, a choice of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops as well as a library, several doctors surgeries and a train station with easy access to York (15 mins) and London (2 hours). We have a detatched house set within large gardens and I (Amanda) run a Bed & Breakfast and Holiday Cottage business from home.Richard works for a large software company based in London, and so is away from home usually 2/3 nights a week. Connie, our daughter, currently attends nursery 4 mornings a week, only a 10 minute walk from home and then in the afternoons we typically meet with friends and their children for playtime (and a cup of tea!) Our second daughter is due to make her appearance into the world in February 2017. In our spare time, Richard and i enjoy socialising with friends and we like to eat in nice restaurants, drink nice wine and we enjoy going to the horse races, and we love going to the beach for a day out with the dog (preferably in winter when its quiet). We are not really sporty / gym people.. we are definatley not lazy, but never really been the type of people to join a gym, or sports team and do something regularly. We are looking for an aupair (ideally from Europe) whom will be happy to get stuck into family life with us. We are a very sociable family and so the successful aupair needs to be reasonably outgoing and happy to engage with us. With being at home alone for some of the week and running a business from home, I am looking for someone that will be my extra pair of hands, to help dress the children, take to nursery, amuse whilst i am busy with my guests. There will be very light housework on occassion, again, just to lend a hand. Typically we will be looking for help Mon - Friday, first thing in the morning and later in the afternoon until the children are in bed, with middle of the day and weekends being leisure time. Occassional babysitting on an evening may be asked. In our profile, I mentioned somenone willing to help with light housekeeping. Please know that I am not looking for a cleaner.. i envisage someone being able to push a hoover around for me on occasions, changing a bed, or mabye emptying a dishwasher, certainly nothing too strenuous . I will have a new baby and will just need a helping hand keeping things in the house in order. We like a clean and tidy house and with having the business at home, we try and keep things in order. The priority for the aupair will always be childcare.
