Dear au pair, We are an English/Dutch family with three young children and we live in Nottinghill in west London. We are looking for a lovely au pair to help me with looking after our children. Lucas (4) has just started school, Freya (2) is at nursery three mornings per week and Marcus (9 months) is our smiley, cuddly baby boy. My husband works in central London and I work part time and flexibly from home. Our children are lively and happy and our household is busy and full of fun. e have a beautiful house on a central and family friendly street, 5 minutes walk from the famous Portobello Road and markets and close to the tube/underground. During the week the children go to school, nursery and do various activities such as playing in the park, swimming, baking at home. They also love to do arts & crafts and creative activities. At the weekend we like to go to parks, parties and have day trips in and around London such as the zoo or boat trips. We also love going to the country side to enjoy walks, animals and fresh air.
We are strictly looking for a lovely fluent Dutch speaking au pair who will speak Dutch to our children (and English with us). I am looking for help getting the children ready for school and nursery, organising play dates, doing fun activities with them. On the mornings that the older children are at school/nursery I am looking for help with the baby such as taking the baby for walks in the pram or taking him to baby music classes etc. Care for the children will largely be jointly with me. We are looking for someone to help with household tasks (tidying up toys, children's laundry, cooking kids meals and helping tidy round the kitchen). We have a housekeeper who comes three times per week who does most of the general housekeeping. We are looking for about 35 hours a week and two nights babysitting. We have a lovely private and self-contained studio room on the top floor of our house with an en-suite bathroom and a kitchenette so you will have your own space and privacy although you are of course welcome in our home! We will pay £110 per week plus a contribution towards classes you may wish to take for your personal development. Absolutely no guests to the house and minimum stay of 1 year. Must be fluent/native Dutch speaker, 22+ years old and a non-smoker. We suggest a week trial period so that you can see if you are a good fit with our family.
