Hello Hello! I am a single parent with a 19 month old little girl, Florence and am just about to start a 1 year masters at Cambridge University. I am looking for someone to help me look after my little angel and become a good friend, whom I will be happy to help with their english ( I used to be an english language teacher) and introduce to all fun english traditions. I speak Italian, French and a little Arabic and would like to be able to converse in any of these languages. Florence and I live in a lovely house with a big garden in a quiet village just north of Cambridge. You will have your own bedroom with a desk but I'm afraid we only have one bathroom (!). We also have a very gentle old English Springer Spaniel called Becks who just loves being cuddled and fussed. I have family and friends all over the UK (Liverpool, Bath, London and Scotland) and am happy to bring you with me to visit them so that you can experience different parts of the UK. I also like to attend festivals (I love glam camping!) and am happy to bring you too if you'd like.
I am hoping to find someone who will be proactive and flexible n helping with Florence and around the house. I will mainly need to someone to help with her in the morning before I drop her off to nursery (she will go full time) and in the evening before she goes to bed. Some evenings I will need to attend evening classes or functions and will ask the Au Pair to babysit (likely twice per week but may sometimes be 3 evenings, sometimes may be a Saturday - but I will give plenty of notice if that is required). Most weekends and evenings will be free. On the rare occasion that I may be stuck in class the Au Pair may need to pick Florence up from nursery using my car so they will need to have a driving licence. Although I am not fussed about the age of the Au Pair they should be mature and responsible, preferably with experience (babies in family or previous Au Pairing) of young children. They will be expected to be tidy and clean in the house and to undertake some light housework tidying after Florence (hoovering, washing up, tidying, mopping, helping keep bathroom clean). Although not required it would also be great if they would be happy to take Becks the dog for the odd walk and help with cooking.
