Dear Aupair, We are looking for a loving, merry and discreet person to share our family household with. We are a happy family of 4, italian mum, dutch dad, 2 very active and lovely kids of 3 and 6 (boy and girl). We love our jobs (we both work in design at the university), but we do care very much about having a serene home, where everybody feels safe and cared for. Be ready for a babel of languages, since english, dutch, italian and swedish are spoken at home! We love to have friends over in the weekends and often host our international friends at our place, when they are in Umeå. We like to lead a healthy and enjoyable life. We live in a lovely house in a village called Holmsund. The village is 15 Km from the city of Umeå, reachable by bus. Our house is spacious and pleasant, which is important in the cold months, where a lot of time is spent indoors! We both work at the University and have quite intense working situations. However we have rather normal office hours (8.30 to 17 in average). The kids go to daycare during the day and come home with us, when we get out of the office. The weekend is normally homey and outdoorsy. A few times a years, we shoot off to the south for a week or two. Our main sparetime activity is dancing argentinian tango. Some babysitting is required for us to be able to do that :-) If you wish to know more, please contact us!
We would expect mainly help in fighting kids chaos at home, which means working with the kids in keeping their room, their playroom and the common rooms tidy (kitchen and living rooms). We would love to have some help in cooking meals in the evenings and with shopping for groceries. Around 3 evenings a week, we would like to be able to go dancing or have a working evening. Picking the kids up from school by car could be necessary once in a while, but definitely not everyday. We also expect to share the load of the household (light cleaning activities).
