I am a single Mum to one 10 year old girl living in Te Atatu South, West Auckland. I am looking for someone who would be able to help me care for my daughter while I go to work . I work as a nurse doing days, nights and a few weekends. I enjoy knitting, cooking, reading and going swimming with my daughter. My daughter is a lively 10 year old who loves computer games but also music, singing, swimming, gymnastics and animals.
Our au pair must be female, a native or fluent English speaker and have a commitment to the development and learning of children. We can also accomodate a male/female couple. Our ideal au pair would be firm, fair, friendly and fun and used to the dealing with issues that today's families are facing such as the use of technology. Our au pair's duties will include taking my daughter to and from school and to after school activities, help with homework and reading, some light household duties and assistance with meal preparation. Auckland is a diverse and cosmopolitan city of 1.2 million people. There is plenty to do and lots of museums, art galleries, bars, restaurants and shops. Outdoor activities are very popular in New Zealand and we live close to the Waitakere Ranges where there are lots of adventure activities, bush walks and wild surfing beaches along the rugged West Coast. It is not necessary to be a driver as my daughter’s school is a 10 minute walk away
