Hello we are an Italian family of 4 with two well behaved kids aged 4 and 7. We live in a small town but well connected to the main town around (Trento). The place is a lovely area of Italy nestled in the Italian Alps and a skiing area in the winter. We would like also you to contribute to basic house-keeping (as one of the family). We are a family originally from the south of Italy now living in the north. We like to eat well and earthy, healthy stuff. We raise our kids bilingual (Italian and English) , and behaved. They tend to go to bed early. We like to watch series or chat in the evenings. We are quite chatty and like to go out for long walks at times. Daddy is a school teacher and Mom is a synchronized swimming coach. We like to invite friends over and to go out when possible (it's not possible very often, though) [For DUTCH-speaking aupairs only] We lived in Belgium last year and our girl picked up some Nederlands at school. We also had some lessons, so we handle basic conversations in Dutch. We would like you to help out kids keep their Nederlands skills while helping us with them in the afternoon hours when school is over (after 15:00), in some weekends, and occasionally at evenings.
Tasks will include helping with the kids, speaking either Dutch or English, minding them if both parents are busy with work, that may mean an average of 2-3 hrsday. We would like to have one night out per week, which means you may be asked to have one night in per week . Also, we may ask you to be in charge for the weekend once in a while (definitely not more often than once every 5-6 weeks) if we're keen to go away for the weekend. We find it normal to tidy up a bit or clean whatever is dirty and needs cleaning so we guess this is the case for everyone who shares the house. We tend not to have official cleaning drills or rounds, though, but that could be an option if you prefer. We're not exactly tidy, we're reasonably clean but not obsessive. In our family you would have your private room but we will share the bathroom and kitchen.
