Hi my name is Jen, and I live with my partner Tom, our son, Fraser (4yrs) our daughter Maddie (7months) and our fluffy cat, Mills. ~ What we’re looking for: We’re looking to host an au pair who will become part of our family. You will play a vital role in making sure our family life is as balanced and happy as possible. We want you to enrich all our lives and learn about your culture. We also love to cook, so any recipes that remind you of home will be a welcome addition to our kitchen!
~ What your week will look like: **I’m currently still on maternity leave, so you and I will look after the children together so that I can show you where everything is and get settled in and accustomed with the local area.** In September, I return to work and Fraser starts school, so Monday- Friday will look like this: • Getting both children up, dressed, breakfast, and walking Fraser to school for 9.00am • You’ll then be able to spend the day with Maddie, taking her to local parks, playgroups, music lessons, the library, feeding the ducks etc. • 3 days a week, our current childminder will look after Maddie for 3 hours an afternoon, so during this time you are free to do what you like; rest, study, shopping etc. • Then at 3pm Fraser will require collecting from school, and both children giving dinner, a bath and story book and settling ready for bed. You can eat dinner with the children, or are welcome to eat with Tom and I, however we do eat quite late sometimes. Evenings and weekends are your own, apart from the occasional babysitting request, and at weekends you are very welcome to join us for whatever family activity we have planned. ~ Other jobs: Daily light household duties will include, • Putting clothes washing on/ or folding and putting washing away. • Emptying or filling the dishwasher. • Washing up Maddies bottles. • Putting food down for the cat/ cleaning her tray. • Light shopping errands. • Tidying up after the children.
