We live in the city centre of Lancaster, a historic city, which is about one hour north of Manchester. Lancaster is just a few short stops away from the Lake District, which is arguably one of the most beautiful parts of the United Kingdom. Leah is 18 months old, and is very energetic. She loves walking, talking, and playing. We are looking for a person that can spend time with her and teach her about the world around her, and to stimulate her learning. We have a busy life but really value and enjoy family time, and we would love to have an au pair join us, and to be a part of the family, as much as they would like to. James works between the office and home, which is just 15 minutes away, and is finishing his PhD in history, and teaches undergraduates and postgraduates. He likes hiking, reading, travelling, cooking, and photography. Debs works irregular shifts throughout the week as a nurse, in a small town about 20 minutes away. She likes sports, the outdoors, reading, crafts, and baking.
We are looking for an au pair that would be able to look after Leah for some days during the week, with occasional evenings. This might include bathtime, bedtime routines and meal times. We would like the au pair to take Leah out and about where possible, and there are lots of fun things to do in the city. We are flexible people and can easily accommodate any needs or interests. We have all the usual commodities, TV, Xbox, Internet, computer, washer/dryer, etc. We have a car and when we go on holiday or for days out you would be welcome to join us. There might be some light household chores, e.g. vacuuming or washing dishes, but nothing too demanding. We are energetic, hardworking, friendly, sociable, and trustworthy people, and would like to host someone that could relate to these attributes. We have strong religious values, and attend church at the local Latter-day Saint chapel.
