Dear Au Pair, We are an active young family of 5 looking for an energetic, positive and caring person who loves kids. We are not only looking for a helper, but someone to become a part of our loving family. We have 3 children, 2 boys aged 7 & 5 who go to school, and a girl aged 2.5. We love to play outdoors and keep busy with sports, games and fun learning activities. We live in a quiet street only 10 km from Melbourne CBD. We have a large house with a backyard and live very close to nice parks. There are public transport options nearby (train and tram). We love to cook different types of food from around the world, and Mum loves to bake and decorate cakes and other treats. She grew up in Norway and therefore speaks fluent norwegian as well as English. Dad grew up in Sydney and is an eye specialist doctor who works long hours, but love to spend time with the family when he can.The kids attend a few activities weekly, including gymnastics, tennis and swimming. They love to play at the park, and learn new skills. All 3 kids have a regular routine and sleep well through the night. The boys are very active, caring and good natured. They attend school 5 days per week. Our daughter (2,5) is mainly at home, she is toilet trained already and is a bright and happy little girl. She is very independent and does most things for herself, but loves company and someone to play with as well.
We need help wit the morning routine, some driving to and from school & activities and also after school care. We expect the au pair to assist in meal preparation and clean after the children ( after meal and play). Also help with light housework like washing, hanging & folding clothes and stacking/emptying the dishwasher. The timetable is very flexible since mum is not working. We are happy to give the au pair time off during the week if needed. Every second Saturday we need help (dad at work), but all Sundays will be completely free. Occasional after hours care might be organised. Of course we are open to negotiate the schedule to best fit everybody in the family including the au pair. We have two cars and happy for the au pair to use them if necessary.
