We are a bilingual home and looking for an au pair who likes languages and is interested in practice and learn Spanish and English. My husband and I work full time, we both have very busy jobs. We love watching movies, going out to dine, exercise every time we can, go for walks and do any activity outdoors when the weather conspires. We love languages as Spanish is our mother tongue, we are both from Lima-Peru so we are encouraging our daughter to keep learning the language and culture.
A normal day for our family on weekdays is having breakfast ready for when Nayara wakes up and if she goes to childcare is getting her ready and offer her a bottle while she finishes waking up. While Nayara is at childcare some cleaning needs to be done: some laundry, vacuuming and dusting all rooms, cleaning and tidying up Nayara’s play area, including outdoors. Also, organise kitchen and cook. We normally pick Nayara up from childcare and ideally her dinner should be ready by the time we get home. We might need help getting her ready for having dinner and supervising her while eating. We are happy to support each other with this duty. On the days that Nayara does not go to childcare, minimal duties are undertaken like in the morning having breakfast ready and cook meals. Having this ready in the morning before she wakes up is ideal. The rest of the day is spending time with her doing different activities, playing and supervising her. Some laundry (Nayara's clothes) can be done while she is playing or having her nap. If she is awake, she is happy to help you going outside for hanging them on the clothesline. On weekends, we are all at home and spend quality time together. Some meals need to be prepared for lunch or dinner on Saturdays, although we tend to be out all the family doing some shopping or doing some activities. By mid-day Nayara will need to have a nap if she is up to it, otherwise we will skip it. On Sundays mommy and daddy take 100% of the duties so the Au pair is expected to have time off on this day. We will provide a private room with a double bed and spacious wardrobe. Bathroom will be almost private but shared with Nayara, the toilet and shower are separated areas in the house. Also, we will provide mobile phone. An opportunity for a family trip within Australia so that you can get to know more about this beautiful country.
