Dear au pair, we are a family of three: mummy, daddy and Giorgio, our 7 year old boy. Mummy and daddy both work some km away from home and Giorgio is a primary first year student. We are a very relaxed, open and friendly family. We enjoy staying with friends and having fun in the nature. Giorgio is a very easy going kid, very responsible and curious. He loves music, riding his bike, swimming and playing football.
We live in a little village 20km from Bergamo (the city centre) and only one hour from Milan. We have a large house right in the centre of the village and just by the very nice hills of the area. Daddy works (a lot) and mummy works as well in the city centre (where Giorgio attends his school). We have very busy working days and we try to relax during the weekends and the summer holidays. Mummy takes Giorgio to school and picks him up as well, so we are all out from 7.30 to 6.30 from Monday to Friday. Giorgio will be off from school from June to September and may attend an afternoon camp for part of the summer, so we would need an au pair taking care of him during the mornings and possibly some afternoons. The weekend would be completely free, and nights as well, as we always spend Saturdays, Sundays and nights together. We would like to give Giorgio the opportunity to spend a relaxed summer out and about where we live, while sharing a different culture and language. The au pair we are looking for will have to take care of him in the mornings, having breakfast with him, spending time outdoors (there are plenty of nice places to go, at hand), having him do his (little) homeworks. In the afternoon he/she may be required to take him to a very near summer camp and pck him up later. Week-ends and nights will be completely free. Nannies live in the same building and are very much available for any help. The au pair coming to us will have a large room and bathroom, a family willing to take him/her to visit the nice surroundings, a very easy going atmosphere.
