Hi there ! We are Karl, Veronica, James our son, and Lucy the cat. James is 2 and a half years old in July 2016 and he is a wonderfully happy and outgoing little boy, full of chatter and developing so fast. We live in a wonderful town near the beach and sea, south of Boston, Massachusetts – it’s called Duxbury. We look forward to talking to you, and hopefully welcoming you into our family for an exciting and memorable year for all of us ! James has had 3 fantastic au pairs so far, two from Germany and one from South Africa. He loves spending time with them and is really social and loves hanging out with other kids and playing. We think that it would be great to have an au-pair who would like to take care of a little boy and help him develop and live through some of his milestones. We think that somebody who is outgoing, fun and friendly, who loves chattering and doing things outside would get along really well with James. As for us his mum and dad, we are pretty easy going we like to think. Karl is from England, and I am from Miami. We are very keen for this to be a great year for you as well and would like to think that you would become a part of our family, free to join in with family fun and take part in our social lives if you so wanted. We love food, eating and making recipes, and we have a strong interest in travel and culture. We have both lived and studied abroad – in fact we met doing a degree in Switzerland! We are looking for an Au pair that enjoys young children and doesn't mind living in a place that has 4 seasons. Our summers are hot and our winters are cold with snow. We would like the au pair to be comfortable driving in the US and in winter conditions. James is a very active, smart boy and likes to be challenged. He loves to play music, cook, read and play games. We would like the Au pair to be creative and help James learn and grow in his 3rd year of life, and somebody that would be thrilled to help him go through key developmental changes. We would like the au-pair to join in with family life as much as they wanted to.
