Dear au pair, We are a friendly, outgoing family. We've two girls aged 5 and 3, we are fortunate enough to have a third on the way. A baby boy will be born in March 2016. I am Italian from Rome and my husband is British from Birmingham. We are young family that enjoy life. After reading the profile if you like what you read we would love to invite you for a trial in the Channel Islands for a two week trial period asap. With a view to commence in the new year. We currently live in the Channel Islands. We will be moving to Rome at the end of December. To ensure a smooth transition our children will be attending a bilingual school in Rome. Historically our children have swimming lessons / dancing lessons once a week. This is something we hope to continue in Rome. We enjoy open space and everyday life is now into a well engineered routine albeit a bit hectic at times. Dad works away for three weeks at a time and mom is currently in full-time employment. Our current au pair currently get the children ready for school, takes them to school. Prepares lunch or and dinner, does some basic housework twice a week followed by school collection at 3pm. Somedays there are activities until 5pm. Then mom comes home and the au pair is free. On weekends we go for walks, horse riding, swimming, we try to visit family in the UK or Italy. On longer periods of free time we usually went to Italy for holidays or further afield.
We expect someone to feel warm and welcomed into our family. We enjoy welcoming someone into our family and we really hope to find someone who will fully integrate into our way of live. Tasks include: Preparing the children for school Dropping them off to school Preparing Lunch / Dinner Some housework Collection from school Some very occasional evening babysitting Occasional trips abroad to the UK and further afield. Helping with the new born The au pair will be fulltime but will have varied working hours - expect an average of 30hrs a week. What is important to note about the above is that we will all share the tasks. Some days or week the au pair will do most of it. Other days we will work with you. On other occasions you wont do any of it and you will be essentially free. We need someone is ok to stay with the kids for 30 minutes while we go shopping etc. Advantages - Your own bedroom / bathroom in a separate house (subject to change depending on what size house we find to settle in) Good starting salary. Local sim card with 20EUR topup per month 21 days paid holiday 2 days off a week (usually over the weekend unless negotiated otherwise). You will get alot of time off that most host families cannot offer. We are a family that want an active role in brining up our family all we ask is to have someone available who can support us in doing that. English is going to be the main language in the house, the only person who speaks Italian to the children is mom. Dad will speak in English, au pair will speak english and the house will take an English theme.
