Dear au-pair: We’re a kind, friendly, caring and affectionate family from Madrid (Spain). We are Marisol (39) and Luis (43). Our children are Alex (5) and Natalia (8). We live in Miramadrid, a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood in a town called Paracuellos de Jarama, which is 15 km drive from Madrid-city. It's 10 minutes on the bus from the nearest underground station and from a free public school where they teach Spanish for foreigners. There are quite a few other au-pairs throughout the year. They meet and do many things together, like going to Madrid or to weekend trips around Spain or Europe. Our children love playing, reading, swimming, going for walks ... Natalia loves dancing and she also learns music and how to play the electric guitar. Alex likes sports and he plays tennis. Luis loves music and he plays the piano and the keyboard. He plays in a group. I like reading, swimming and editing photos and videos. But most of all we love to be together. We love looking after our children. We had the great experience of sharing our lives with an au-pair from England last spring. We got so close to her and we loved so much learning about her culture that now we have a lovely au-pair from America, who must go back home in January the latest, so we need to find someone to take care of the children after she leaves and until the end of June 2016. (THEY WOULD BOTH BE WILLING TO TALK TO YOU FOR REFERENCES IF YOU WISH!!!!!) With our au-pairs we’ve done lots of things together, but most of all, they have become a great part in this family. The children love them, and we do too!
We would like to have a kind au-pair who can take very good care of our children and become one member in our family. We could teach you Spanish you could teach us English. We need an au-pair who can help us take care of the children: 1) from 8'00 to 9'00 in the mornings getting them up, preparing their breakfast and taking them to school; 2) from 1'00 to 3'00 during lunch time (they have a lunch break from 1 to 3, when they go home for lunch. At 3'00 they go back to school until 5'00). We're at home the rest of the time, so you could give us a hand in the afternoon if you are at home, and of course you can have your free time. You wouldn't be asked to cook lunch or dinner. We do it.
