let me introduce my family: it is made up of four people: my husband, my two daughters, aged 10 and 5 and me. I am a Maths teacher in a secondary school and my husband is an artisan. Over the past four years we have been hosting English Au pairs and if you will agree to come to our home you will be the seventh. The past experiences were great: we get in touch with girls from different countries and all the times we learned a lot from each other and we made some good friends we still in contact with. My daughters looked up to them as though they were their sister, tried to imitate them and to learn from them as much as possible.
As far as the Au pair's job is concerned, she should be teaching English to my daughters, who having different ages and English levels, the approach required must be tailored: with the older one she might hold lessons improving speaking, writing reading and listening, with the younger one just talk while the two of you are playing.We take in great esteem the teaching of this language:we think that, making them get in touch with foreign girls from all over the world is the most effective method to learn English and new cultures. We would like them to experience different realities through these Au pairs and we would like to create long lasting friendships . So she should be able to deal with kids, to have a lot of patience and energy.
