We are a young and busy family who are looking for a friendly and trustworthy au pair to help us with childcare and day-to-day running of our busy home. We are both professionals; Anna works in education and has previously been a teacher whilst Paul is an engineering manager. We like doing things as a family including visits to parks with our boys, walks in the countryside with the dogs, trips to the cinema, going out with friends and visiting family. Our two boys are 3 years and 10 years old. They are very active and love nothing better than playing down the park, in the garden, visiting the beach, nerf gun wars, board games and story books at bedtime. Our family loves our pets and would need an au pair who loves them too! We have two big soppy dogs and a friendly cat. The dogs love a cuddle and are a little bit spoilt. We have a modern home and will welcome any au pair, giving them their own TV in their room and access to wifi. Our house is only a walk from the vibrant town centre with plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants, bowling and cinema. There are also several different leisure centres with swimming pools close by. Ashford International Train station is within walking distance and the high speed train takes just over 30minutes to get to London. There are beaches just 30 minutes away; we love where we live as it is so close to both the city and countryside!
We are looking for an au pair who can slot in as another member of the family and be flexible around our changing work commitments. The job would include: - Light housework such as cleaning the kitchen and hoovering - Tidying up after the children - Washing the children's clothes - Cooking for the children - Taking the children to school and nursery - Playing with the children and taking them out to places like to the park - Occasional babysitting - Walking the dogs (if agreeable) Our jobs mean that there would normally be one of us (Anna or Paul) in the house, although Paul might be sleeping after working at night and I might be working from the office. This means we will normally be around if there is a problem, but there will be times you will have the children by yourself. You will have most weekends off except occasional babysitting and plenty of time to attend your own language course at the local college if you wish.
