Hello, We are looking for an au pair to help our family. We have two children, Arabella, aged 5 and Xavier aged 2, he will be 3 in July. We live just outside Tunbridge Wells. You will have a large bedroom, newly decorated and carpeted, with your own shower room, mobile phone and access to a car. - Be a regular driver with at least 2 years experience. - Minimum age 21. As Arabella is at school monday to friday and Xavier has nursery 3 days a week, you will have lots of free time. During school holidays we will need more help but the children will also do activities. Nearest big town is Tunbridge Wells, 10 minute drive. There is a language school there, twice a week for 2 hours where you can do the ESOL certificates, which we are happy to pay for. Train to London is 45 minutes. There is a big au pair community here, every Friday all the au pairs meet up for the evening, so you will quickly get to meet friends. There are also social activities organised by the language school. My husband works for a bank, I work from home as a marketing consultant, typically I work in London 1-2 days a week. Arabella is at school, which is a ten minute drive from our house. Xavier is at nursery 3 days a week just near the school. They are both energetic children, Arabella enjoys gymnastics, ballet and swimming and loves craft activities. Xavier is a typical boy loving cars and dinosaurs!
To us an au pair is a part of our family and we always treat them so, we have a cleaner already, what we need someone to give our children some special time when we are busy at work. Full details to be provided but as a guide - Must have a genuine interest in children! - Be a regular driver with at least 2 years experience. - Minimum age 21. Typical week: - Hours,7.30 - 9 and then 2.45 - 6.30. Some weeks, may need Xavier looked after for a morning when he is not at nursery. - Driving children to/from school/nursery - not every day, as I work from home, I like to do this too. - Tidy up after breakfast, help with getting children ready for school/nursery - Cook dinner for the children - Help with laundry - Take children to the park after school or do a craft activity / game before dinner. - Tidy up toys at the end of the day - and get the children to help! - Occasional babysitting - Have fun with the children is the most important thing! - Be flexible, some weeks we will need more help than others.
