Our names are Michelle, Chris, Lily, Buddy (the dog), Iggy (the tortoise), and Mini Skirt (the pony), and we are New Yorkers who spend our summers at our house in Southampton, Long Island, New York. Lily is an independent little girl who is obsessed with horses - and animals, in general - and will be going to pony camp in the mornings, and participating in local horse shows a few times a month. She loves to swim, play soccer and football, cook, and spend time with her friends. Buddy is a Great Dane puppy who is either sleeping or chewing on something he should not be chewing on. Chris is a loving and involved father who works in New York City and will be coming to the house on the weekends. Michelle works hard keeping everyone happy and on schedule.
We are looking for a loving, energetic, animal-loving, and responsible young woman to help out as an extra set of hands. For example, driving Lily somewhere, keeping an eye on Buddy when Michelle is out, staying with the "kids" 2 or 3 evenings per week when we go out to dinner, overseeing Lily's playdates at the house, playing in the pool, doing light cooking on occasion, and just helping out with small, everyday tasks that are common when you are a member of a family. You will have your own small apartment with a kitchen attached to our house, and a car available to you at all times. New York City is 2 hours away from Southampton, and there is a bus that runs between the Hamptons an the city several times a day. In addition to your pay, we would give you a weekly grocery stipend so that you can shop for your desired groceries and cook meals for yourself when you do not join us for family meals.
