Hello, We are a Canadian family living in Belgium. We have 3 little boys, aged 3,6 and 8yrs old, who love outdoor activities, reading, lego and sports. They are all at school full time, but as we both work, we need someone to get them ready for the bus in the mornings, and take care of them after school. The languages used in our home are English and French, so we are interested in someone who wants to learn either language. We live in the country side, around 4km from Waterloo, with a 20min train ride to Brussels. We are looking for an positive, energetic, au pair, that is interested in outdoor activities and enjoys creative activities with young children. About us: Both of us work full time during the week, while the kids are at school Mon-Fri. We are a pretty relaxed family, with all of us enjoying sports, and we like to spend a lot of time outdoors in the "Forest de Soignes" which we live right next to, biking, running, and hiking. Our boys are energetic, so need to be outside a lot. They like creative games, outdoor activities, and will definately make you laugh.
We are looking for someone to help the kids get ready for school, then to be back in the afternoon to get them off the bus and take care of them until ~18h. In the afternoon they need a snack, homework supervision for the eldest, and games / playing with the younger two. Weekends are yours from 18h on Friday. We expect minor house keeping (tidy up toys, clean-up from cooking, laundry folding...) and meal preparation for the evening meal. We have a cleaning lady once a week that takes care of the 'real cleaning'.
