Hello, we are Laia (10), Marc (6) and Clara and we would like to briefly introduce our family to you and invite you to be our Au pair for a few months. We are a family of 5 living in Artesa de Segre, a town just one hour drive from Barcelona. Living at home is funny! We like playing, cooking and enjoying the time we spend together. We are looking for a young person to share our daily life and to learn English. Our parents work in the family-owned company ROS, devoted to the manufacturing of furniture for babies and kids. The company is in the same town where we live. Our parents are very busy, but we always see them in the morning, we have lunch together and we spend the evening with them as well, revising our homework, reading and just explaining what has been going on during the day. The three of us study music and play basketball, we are all members of the basketball team in Artesa and our father is also one of the trainers and the president of the club, which means he always has plenty of things to do! At the weekends, we often have basketball matches or activities with friends. We would really like to welcome you to our family, to speak English with you, to discover your culture and your country. We will also show you our country, our region and our town. You can easily travel to Barcelona or we can make other visits together! We will enjoy the time we spend together and we will all learn a lot!
We are looking for a youngperson from USA or UK to learn English, this is our main purpose. There is a person in the house in charge of the household, so the rest of the members, also the au pair, are responsible for daily routines: washing up, tidying up the bedrooms... The au pair will wake up the children at 08:00 and get them ready to go to school at 09:00. At midday the au pair will pick up the children at 12:30 and we will all have lunch together at 13:30 (parents arrive at 13:05) The parents will bring the children back to school at 14:45 so the au pair will tidy up the kitchen and be free until 16:30, when the children go out. In the afternoon the children have activities: music, sports... And the au pair will be in charge of them until parents finish work, around 19:00. In the evening the au pair can be with the family or be alone, as s/he prefers. We can fully adapt to the au pair needs, as our daily life is already organised and we are looking for an au pair in order to improve the level of English of our children.
