Looking for Au pair with prior experience!! We are a family of 4 people. My son is 1 years old and my daughter is 3½ years old. My husband and I are both 39 years old. Currently we are living in Copenhagen in an apartment. But we are in the process of building a house in a suburb to Copenhagen, called Charlottenlund (10 min by s-train from Copenhagen city center). We have decided that when we move into our new house in May 2015 we will expand our family with an Au Pair. There is of course a very nice Au pair room in the house :-)! Because we haven’t had an Au pair before, we prefer to find someone with Au pair experience e.g. from Singapore, Hong Kong etc. It is of course important to have the practical help that an Au pair can provide for us – but it is equally important to us that you are a kind and loving person, that would like to be part of our family. We are looking for someone who is great with our children and who will enjoy to play, laugh and have fun with them and us. Both my husband and I take great interest in other people, and to have an Au pair is for us also a chance of leaning about another culture. We value a healthy lifestyle and to spend as much time as possible with our children. We enjoy good food and wine and being in company of friends. It is very important to us, that our Au pair is good at communicating in English, and we hope that our Au pair is interested in taking Danish classes. We find that it is important to be able to communicate with the children i.e. understand when they are thirsty/hungry etc.
As an Au Pair with our family you will have to help with the daily tasks and practicalities related to our children and the housekeeping. Children: Help get the children ready for kindergarten in the morning. Pick them up again in the afternoon, so that they are home when my husband and I come home from work. Both children attend the same kindergarten. Picking up the children does not require a driving license the kindergarten is in walking distance of our house. Housekeeping: Clean the house (vacuum clean, clean bathrooms and kitchen, tidy up in the children’s rooms, change bed linens), help with the laundry – washing and folding plus a little bit of ironing.
